Accelerated Lightning Strike

Spell Description:

Accelerated Lightning Strike calls upon the raw, untamed power of cosmic forces, channeling a beam of lightning that transcends the barriers of space and time to target a creature you can see within range. This spell harnesses energy from the cosmos, accelerating it to near-immeasurable speeds to ensure it can pass through any obstacle, including solid matter, to reach its target.

Upon casting, the target must make a Dexterity saving throw. A failed save results in the target taking 20d6 lightning damage, or half as much damage on a successful save. The spell's advanced manipulation of energy allows it to strike repeatedly, whipping the target 1d4 + 2 times in a single casting. Each strike can be directed at the same target or different targets, provided subsequent targets are within 30 feet of the first.

The lightning summoned by this spell is not just any electrical discharge; it's a concentrated, high-velocity energy beam that, due to its speed and intensity, momentarily illuminates the area with a brilliant flash, capable of passing unaffected through any barrier to reach its destination.

At Higher Levels: When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 11th level or higher, the number of strikes increases by 1 for each slot level above 10th.
